MATHS OLYMPIAD

The state round of the 62nd Mathematics Olympiad in the time window took place from February 24th to 26th, 2023 at the IGS. A one-day exam was scheduled for Classes 3-5 and a two-day exam for Classes 6-13. 11 students from Classes 3 to 9 faced the challenging tasks of the Math Olympiad and gave their best. So on Saturday, 3 secondary school students came to complete the 2nd day of the exam. We had delicious pizza for lunch.
Pupils from class 8 and up who have successfully passed the state round can be nominated to participate in the national round, which will take place this year from June 11th to 14th, 2023 in Berlin. Every year, five guests from the German schools abroad are invited, who, together with around 200 Olympians from the 16 federal states, experience not only exciting exam days but also a colorful supporting program all about mathematics.
We’ll see who hopefully made it to Berlin.
