Kindergarten Teacher

Requirements:
 Qualified as an kindergarten teacher or equivalent
 Additional knowledge in the areas of: English as an additional language
 Good powers of observation and the ability to reflect on pedagogical processes precisely and linguistically.
 Knowledge of computer applications: Word, Excel, Interactive Boards, …
 Pedagogical impetus and a high sense of responsibility when dealing with children
 Organizational skills
 Ability to work professionally with parents
 Willingness to qualify for further professional training
 Ability to work in a team in an intercultural context and reliability
 Willingness and ability to participate in active kindergarten development
 Identification with the institution and its philosophy

Job Profile:
 Preparation of the teaching material based on the existing educational plans/educational recommendations and school-internal curricula and the school concept using a variety of suitable methods and media
 (Further) development of curricula, creation of material distribution plans, weekly plans, etc.
 Organizing, designing and moderating the learning situation with the participation of the students,
 Diagnosing children’s learning requirements and learning processes using current procedures with the aim of being able to give factually sound recommendations for action.
 Designing a suitable learning environment in which children can easily recognize seasonal rhythms and the characteristics of the learning content and creates rich testing areas.
 Appreciative presentation of the learning results
 ensure that etiquette and rules are agreed upon, reflected upon and adhered to in an age-appropriate manner in the classes and learning groups
 provide information at parents’ evenings, parent-teacher conference days and weekly consultation hours
 Advise parents on further development
 Use or develop the system, criteria and scheduling of the performance assessment and make these transparent to the parents in a specified form if necessary, as well as derive target agreements and recommendations for action
 carry out year- and subject-related evaluations of performance assessments, communicate adequately and carry out evaluations of performance comparisons
 Participation in the planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning work, exchange with specialist colleagues
 Planning, carrying out extracurricular activities, such as working groups, excursions, school trips, school festivals, meetings, PR, employee events
 Take advantage of various offers for your own training every year
 Instruction of the assistant/induction of new colleagues

SEN/EAL Teacher – School Counsellor

About us:
Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, our small school campus offers a green oasis and a vibrant educational environment. Our school is part of the network of 140 German Schools Abroad (DAS) supported by the German Foreign Office, and is attended by 170 children from 18 nations, ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. Instruction is conducted in German and English, with French and Vietnamese introduced from the 6th grade.
Our lower secondary level follows regional curricula for German Schools Abroad, while our upper secondary level adheres to the International Baccalaureate program, culminating in the GIB diploma. This diploma grants access to universities worldwide.
Our qualified teachers from various countries cater to individual needs, fostering discussions, experiments, and reflection. Core skills such as analytical competence, a sense of responsibility, and independent learning are central to our approach.
The quality of our education is regularly
validated through external assessments.

Your Tasks:
Support for Mental Health and Well-being
– Providing individual, small group, and class counselling sessions for students with
social, emotional, and behavioural issues.
– Developing and implementing strategies to promote mental health and well-being for
students and staff.
Coordination of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
– Identifying students with SEN and collaborating with teachers, parents, and experts to
create custom learning plans.
– Ensuring students with SEN receive appropriate accommodations, resources, and
support.
Management of Crisis Intervention
– Addressing critical incidents affecting students’ and staff’s mental health and well-being.
– Coordinating crisis intervention protocols and ensuring prompt support and follow-up.
Advocacy and Communication
– Acting as a liaison among students, parents, staff, and external entities to support
students with disabilities and learning differences.
– Conducting workshops and training to raise awareness of SEN and mental health issues.
Analysis and Reporting of Data
– Collecting and analysing data on student mental health and SEN to guide decisions and
interventions.
– Producing reports to evaluate the effectiveness of support programs.
Collaborative Consultation
– Working with multidisciplinary teams to address students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Guidance Counselling
– Providing guidance curriculum, university counselling, individual pupil planning, and
preventive services.
– Assisting students with academic, career, and personal/social development.
– Teaching careers lessons to students in years 9 to 12.
– Reviewing and developing counselling policies and ensuring their effective
implementation.

Other Duties
– Sharing relevant information with school personnel about the counselling program.
– Attending senior leadership team meetings as required.
– Adhering to legal, policy, and ethical standards of the counselling profession.
– Performing other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Your Profile:
– Degree/ certificate in school psychology or related field
– Proven experience as a school counsellor in a diverse educational setting
– Integrity and professionalism
– A positive, patient, and resilient personality
– Ability to professionally cooperate with parents
– Ability to work in a team and in intercultural contexts
– High level of responsibility and reliability
– Willingness and ability to participate in the school’s development
– English and/or German on a native speaker level is a must
