Tape Art workshop

Art project with Tape That — an initiative of the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City

…a truly exciting art experience on the last day before the Christmas break. Tape, cutting knives, and a square plane were the limits to artistic expression.

Impressive was the artistic process with this new medium on the one hand, however, it was also a very different visual language of the final products. In the beginning, pupils were able to watch a video clip on tape-art in Berlin’s main railway station.

Unconventional and focused is how the artists of Tape That seemd and they were able to inspire the workshop participants. Even the onlookers of our lower classes were enthusiastic and stuck tape art at home. The project was not only an interesting cultural exchange but also brought new conceptual and lateral thinking to the school – a truly creative idea.
