WHO CAN REGISTER
IGS welcomes learners of all nationalities.
Registration for the U6 Section (kindergarten, preschool) and grades 1 – 9 can be made all year round.
Different admission requirements apply for the individual years with regard to age, language skills, and academic background.

PROOF OF ACADEMIC-LINGUISTIC REQUIREMENTS
- Age-typical development of first language
- Knowledge of German for grades 1 – 6: A1; grade 7: A2; grade 8: B1.
- Language skills can be acquired in a language course for external students upon request. No previous knowledge of German is required to enter the U6 Section.
- To enter grades 2 – 12, a transfer certificate or verbal assessment and if necessary references from the previous school or a successful entry test are required.
Learners and parents/guardians are expected to act in accordance with the school philosophy and the rules and standards of the IGS.

ONLINE REGISTRATION
You can conveniently register from home. Immediately after sending the Registration form you will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail. Of course you can also fill in the registration form together with a representative at our school office.
The following documents are required for registration:
- Registration form
- Copy of your passports (child, parents/guardians/signatory of contract) as well as copy of visa/residency (if applicable)
- Copy of birth certificate
- Passport photograph
- School reports, references from previous schools (if available)
- Medical certificate/vaccination booklet (if available)
- Application form for use of school bus (if desired)
CHECKING OF APPLICATION PACKAGE AND TRIAL DAYS IN THE U6 SECTION
Our school office is happy to support you to check your application progress.
Free trial days are agreed for registrations in the U6 Section. During this time you gain an impression of everyday life in the U6 Section.
CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION
After checking the documents and / or a successful trial period in the U6 Section, a confirmation of admission will be sent to you via e-mail. Once payment of the school fees and the admission fee has been made no later than 14 days after receipt of invoice, your child has a guaranteed place at our school.
School uniform, school materials
School uniforms are available at the school office. In Kindergarten, only a set of sportswear is required. Textbooks and materials for school are issued during the first week of school.
