SECONDARY LEVEL II – GIB/IB Diploma upper level

Dear parents

With the beginning of the 11th grade, our students enter the upper school after intensive preparation. As early as class 10, they will be given detailed advice together with you, the parents, on individual course selection and the requirements of the GIB diploma programme. We attach great importance to comprehensive and complete information.

The mixed-language International Baccalaureate (GIB Diploma) can be obtained as a school-leaving certificate at the end of the 12th grade. With this diploma, our graduates can apply immediately and without restrictions to all universities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria as well as institutions in Vietnam and worldwide, because the IB Diploma also has a good reputation throughout the Anglophone world.

The IGS HCMC is part of the global network of IB World Schools and the network of German schools abroad (DAS). Almost 40 DAS in all parts of the world offer the GIB as a school leaving certificate and form a global learning community through joint projects.

If you have any questions regarding the GIB subject programme, the specific requirements for work in the upper school and further details, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Tim Reisdorf, the IB coordinator. tim.reisdorf@igs-hcmc.org
