Secondary School / IB DP Teachers (m/f/d) for Biology, Chemistry, Physics and/or Maths starting August 2025

Your Responsibilities:
• Teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics and/or Maths in the Secondary school, using modern and innovative teaching methods.
• Promoting interdisciplinary and self-directed learning within open learning environments.
• Planning and implementing projects that encourage scientific thinking, cultural awareness, and physical well-being.
• Applying DaF/DFU strategies to support students’ linguistic and subject-specific skills.
• Planning and delivering lessons in line with the requirements of the IB program.
• Collaborating with colleagues and the school leadership team to develop and implement innovative educational concepts.

Your Profile:
• A teaching degree or comparable qualification in one of the relevant subjects (History, Physical Education, Mathematics, Science).
• Experience in teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) program or a willingness to familiarize yourself with its requirements.
• Passion for innovative educational approaches and project-based learning.
• Experience or interest in integrating German as a Foreign Language (DaF) or German in Subject Teaching (DFU).
• Ability to inspire students with creative, interactive, and modern teaching methods.
• A team player with dedication and a willingness to actively contribute to school development.

  • When I think back to my time at IGS, I remember the many adventures I had with my pupils and colleagues. I am thinking of the colourful festivals which we as teachers prepared to put a smile on the children’s faces. Singing together in the school choir, the recordings of a CD in the recording studio, the big concerts in front of an international audience, the great time with the parents and teachers’ choir. For me as a music teacher, it was great to see that children’s creativity, independent thinking, and the arts are very important at this school.

    The contact with the international parents and cooperation partners of the school, and the organisation of school festivals in a completely different cultural space were an enriching challenge for me and have above all contributed to the strengthening of my personality as a teacher. In addition, there was a strong and supportive team for every challenge which always gave you the necessary backup when needed.

    The fascinating landscape of Vietnam, the friendliness of the people, and the numerous experiences with my own class are also a great reminder of my time there which I would not like to miss for anything.

Life in Vietnam

“Working where others go on holidays.” All year round, the south of the country is pampered with temperatures of 25 to 35 degree Celsius. Endless beaches, dreamlike islands, mountains with coffee plantations, and miles of rivers define the landscapes outside the pulsating metropolis Ho Chi Minh City. The country’s economic boom is particularly noticeable in the major cities. Despite the momentum of the upturn, the cost of living remains below the European average.
