In preparation for the GIB, Class 10 completed a laboratory internship in the weeks between Christmas and Tet. This laboratory internship served to familiarize the students with the requirements for the homework for internal assessment in the natural science subjects in the IB’s Diploma Program.
The students could choose one of the following topics:
– Alcoholic fermentation – Under what conditions are the yeast fungi active? (Biology)
– Chemical Kinetics (Chemistry)
– Kinematic experiments with the air cushion disc from the 3D printer (physics)
After conducting the experiments, students were required to design and submit a thesis on their chosen topic. The evaluation of the technical work flows directly into the overall grade of the respective subject.
