Girls’ Football

On January 20th the time had finally come! Our girls’ team, which has been training weekly since the end of last school year, played its first soccer game. The opponents were the girls from the Atletico Saigon Football Club. The team had been looking forward to the game for weeks, but hardly showed any nervousness during the game. The IGS Selection took the lead early with two goals and was able to keep it until halftime. In the second half the score was even increased to 3-0. Atletico Saigon wanted to make things exciting again with the 3:1, but the final 4:1 sealed our team’s well-deserved victory: a great performance in the first game – keep it up!
The next game will follow next Saturday against the International French School from District 9. At the same time, the boys will also play against the same school. Both teams would be happy fort any support.
