FRaft construction at the swimming pool

In the last swimming lesson of the year, teamwork was required in class 5. The task was to build a raft that could hold up the teacher and could transport him across the pool. All teams accomplished the task with flying colors and great solutions were found.

Die Schülerinnen und Schüler der Jahrgangsstufe 8 hatten diese Woche im Biologieunterricht die Möglichkeit ein Schweineherz und eine Schweineniere zu sezieren. Zunächst wurden die anatomischen Strukturen sowie die Funktion des menschlichen Herzens und der menschlichen Niere an Modellen und mit Hilfe von Mitschülern Präsentationen erlernt. Sink or swim?

After the success of the airplane competition, class 5 have continued their STEM Design challenge – experimenting with eco powered boats in the school pool! The students have a week to perfect their designs before the grand finale of the next art class.

Art and Physics

Klasse 5 combined physics and art in the ultimate aerodynamic design challenge! Students were invited to present their paper airplanes before a panel of peers before the planes were judges on aesthetic, tricks and distance. After an intense competition team ‘Crystal Loop’ came first place after Mr.Wayman’s ‘Yuzu the Holy Lemon` .
