“Đông Hồ” Painting – A Cherished Vietnamese Folk Art
Last week, the students of Class 10 had an opportunity to learn about a Vietnamese traditional painting which was called “Tranh Đông Hồ ”. They were taught about historical values and how to make a painting by the specialised artists. They also learned that “Đông Hồ” paintings encompass different patterns, genres and subjects which reflect nearly everything about Vietnamese people.
The students painted their own paintings with materials and they also shared that “It’s amazing to learn a lesson through some actual experience like that, so we can understand how unique the “Đông Hồ” paintings are and [that] they are recognized as Vietnam’s elusive Cultural Heritage.”
