Celebrating the Day of German Unity at DEUTSCHES HAUS
“What belongs together grows together.” When Willy Brandt uttered this sentence in 1989 in the course of the fall of the Berlin Wall, he could hardly have imagined, in spite of being a former mayor, that the two sundered parts of Germany would be reunited so quickly afterwards. But this is exactly what happened less than a year later, namely on October 3rd, 1990.
To this end, the students of the International German School Ho Chi Minh City, with their teachers, have written various articles for an especially created IGS-themed magazine on the Day of German Unity which is their contribution to the celebrations of this special day which has taken place in co-operation with the German Consulate General.
The resulting magazine has been displayed in the German House.
