How long have you been at IGS?
I’ve been at the IGS since August 2024.
Which country are you from?
I was born and grew up in Dortmund, Germany and have worked at various schools in the Ruhr area. The IGS is my first school abroad.
Do you have a favorite quote?
"When all the tents are broken down, the sky is endless again." (Tuareg proverb)
What is good teaching for you?
For me, good teaching means creating an activating and fear-free learning environment in which learners are motivated and act independently.
What is it about your favorite city that fascinates you?
It's hard for me to choose a specific city at this point, but to please me, a city has to have a cosmopolitan attitude and almost unlimited possibilities. I also like cities with a youthful spirit, where every sunset and sunrise feels like entering another world. The city comes to life several times a day and can reinvent itself within hours. Ho Chi Minh City is a good example of such a city.
