Julia Nguyen
Head of U6 & Preschool Teacher

Biography

Julia Nguyễn leads the Early Years (U6) Department at International German School and has extensive expertise in German as a Foreign/Second Language (DaF/DaZ) as well as early language development in multilingual and multicultural settings. She has extensive experience in the preschool sector and is responsible for designing and implementing the preschool program, which builds on her many years of practical experience in language acquisition and intercultural education.

Since moving to Vietnam in 2014, she has gained substantial experience working at various international schools, where she independently developed and implemented early childhood curricula and language support programs. She joined the team at IGS in 2020 as a group leader and has been leading the U6 Department since 2025.

Her focus is on supporting children to learn languages as effectively as possible from the very beginning—especially those growing up in multilingual and multicultural environments. As an experienced DaF/DaZ teacher, she has guided children from kindergarten through the end of primary school, creating an inclusive, supportive, and motivating learning atmosphere.

She firmly believes that education should always put the child at the center—using an individual, participatory, and caring approach that values each child’s uniqueness and supports their personal development with respect and kindness.
